Gas dryer side get hot

Postby skaiser65 » Mon Jan 15, 2018 9:09 am

How hot does the outside of the gas dyer to need be to worry about? My and I noticed that after I cleaned out the vent system that side where the flame is at that it gets real hot (not quite burn you hot). It doesn't stay hot because it runs through it's cycle of drying the clothes. The drum is at normal temps.

Hi,

How hot does the outside of the gas dyer to need be to worry about?

it gets real hot (not quite burn you hot)

Close to the dryer heating element or close to the dryers flame is a common area of the dryer to get hotter than other sections of the dryer....this is normal....and you are correct, you normally cannot burn yourself.

The drum is at normal temps

Good! This is a sign things are running fairly normal then.

jeff.
